Webinar: The Role of Clusters and Networks in Interregional Innovation Investments
Join the upcoming 8th I3 Support Facility Virtual Event, focused on exploring the strategic role of clusters and networks in the success of Interregional Innovation Investments (I3), taking place on 25 June, 14:00 – 15:30 CET!
As part of the I3 Support Facility, we organise the event to highlight the importance of clusters for the interregional cooperation and development.
What to expect?
The I3 Instrument, funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), promotes interregional cooperation in shared smart specialisation areas. Notably, around 70% of funded I3 projects involve cluster organisations — highlighting their central role in shaping interregional value chains and sustaining innovation beyond the life of a project.
This session will:
- Showcase real-life case studies of clusters engaged in I3 projects
- Clarify the multiple roles clusters can play — from coordinating and facilitating quadruple helix collaboration to ensuring long-term impact
- Offer a platform for discussion on how to strengthen the role and visibility of clusters
Who is this virtual event for?
This session is tailored for cluster organisations, SMEs, innovation policymakers, and national/regional authorities involved in Smart Specialisation Strategies (S3) and regional innovation ecosystems. If your work intersects with interregional collaboration or cluster-driven innovation, this event is highly relevant for you.
