Scam Alert: Please be aware of phishing email “ECA –> Delegates Logistics Support Request”
The European Clusters Alliance has received notification about circulating phishing emails that use the name of our president Antonio Novo Guerrero as the sender – even though the email address is a gmail account – and ask for a money transfer in the name of ECA. Please be cautious and aware that this is a scam, and that that European Clusters Alliance would never ask for these types of actions.
For the purpose of awareness raising, we publish below the wording of this series of phishing emails:

Thank you for your assistance, I really appreciate your support.

I am really sorry for any inconvenience. But, I need your assistance with a transfer of 3,750 euros for delegate logistics to support payment that just came up.
I am away on vacation and can’t reach my office manager and treasurer at the moment. And the transfer needs to be done urgently. I am having some trouble with international transfers without my bank token while away, And The ECA treasurer is also away on vacation.
Kindly confirm to me if I can forward you the IBAN details of the recipient to transfer the payment on behalf of ECA. Be rest assured the amount will be fully reimbursed back to you as soon as I am back in the office and accessible to my bank token.
